Hello and welcome to Designer Travel by Emma Parry-Thorpe, I am an independent travel agent based in Silverdale, a beautiful village on the border of Lancashire and Cumbria, in fact, the county border runs through my village! I have lots of lovely local clients from all around the Morecambe Bay and South Lakes area, who take advantage of my travel services, but I also look after clients all over the UK, and some who are even based overseas too.

Over 90% of my business comes from "word of mouth" recommendations from people who have booked with me, passing my details to others I have a repeat client business of over 70%, which is no mean feat in the travel industry! I have over 35 years of travel experience behind me, across a variety of roles in the travel industry, therefore I have a wealth of travel knowledge to share with you.

During my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel extensively to destinations such as: - Chile and Patagonia, South Africa, Mauritius, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Australia, Hong Kong, Barbados, Cuba, Bahamas, Jamaica, Ras Al Khaimah and America visiting California, Las Vegas, Florida, and New York.

I have taken cruises around the Caribbean, been on ski holidays and a family trip (and a trip as an adult) to Lapland, taken a holiday of a lifetime to Chile and Patagonia, and I have travelled extensively throughout Europe to both city and beach locations, these experiences mean I can confidently pass on the knowledge I have gained to help you fulfil the holiday of your dreams.

I specialise in trips to the Indian Ocean, the Caribbean, African safaris, multi-centre holidays to the Far East, trips to Finnish Lapland, ski and snowboarding holidays, honeymoons and weddings abroad, plus USA fly-drives, group holidays, family holidays and city breaks, to name but a few, but I can cater for ANY destination or type of trip, that you may want to do.
