Ibiza Vibes!
Ibiza Vibes!
On the 13th May I travelled on a work "top sellers trip to Ibiza, this time we were fortunate enough to have a lovely friend who offered to help with childcare (thanks Fi) so my husband Steve could “tag along” too on this trip.
Our home for the next 3 nights was the fabulous 5* W Ibiza hotel in Santa Eulalia.
Santa Eulalia is a great resort on the East coast of the “White Island” of Ibiza, around 20-minute drive from Ibiza airport, and the islands third largest resort.
As a quieter resort, it is very popular with couples and families. It has a beautiful palm-lined pedestrianised promenade, running the length of the broad sandy beach
During our conference we had chance to explore the resort and sample menus from many of the excellent local restaurants, Santa Eulalia is home to some of the best restaurants on the island and has a reputation of being the islands gastronomic and cultural centre.
The resort of Santa Eulalia has an exclusive yacht marina, art galleries, fantastic shopping, and some nice bars, with more a “laid back” nightlife scene.
We had the opportunity during our conference to take a trip into the historic and cultured Ibiza town, renowned for its infamous nightlife, DJ’s, bar, music, and food scene.
The Old Town of Ibiza is an ancient walled fortress – The Ibiza Citadel (Dalt Vila), is a UNESCO World Heritage listed site built around Ibiza Castle or Castell Del Evissa as it is known the locals. Here you will a treasure trove of cobbled streets (many only accessible on foot), cathedrals, chapels, and churches plus a selection of museums.
For me personally as a girl that grew up with 1980’s music, no trip to Ibiza would be complete without a visit to “Pike’s Ibiza” an institution opened in the 1970’s by Tony Pike, which houses a 25 room boutique hotel and a reputation for being the venue where Wham’s “Club Tropicana” was filmed, now still as popular with special guest DJ’s and music sets.
I absolutely loved our evening at Pike’s – my top tip is book online in advance to get yourself on the “guestlist” for free entry.
This was my fourth visit to Ibiza, and I love this island even more each time I visit
