Tenerife 5* Hotel Break
Tenerife 5* Hotel Break
In September 2015, I travelled with my husband Steve to attend the "top seller" annual overseas conference in Tenerife.
After an early flight out of Manchester, we arrived at our hotel/home for the next three nights, the 5* Gran Bahia Del Duque hotel.
The hotel is in a beachfront location in the resort of Costa Adeje. It’s built into the hillside so public areas and rooms (and villas) are on lots of different levels, despite the fact that the hotel was fully booked whilst we were there, with all the numerous pools, bars and restaurants. You never felt overcrowded.
We were lucky to be hosted by the Tenerife tourist board and had an abundance of activities to choose from as Tenerife as a destination has so much to offer, such as whale watching, a discover Tenerife Island tour, a visit to Mount Teide national park, a shopping trip to the capital Santa Cruz, Kayaking, a grape harvest experience and much more.
The last time I had visited Tenerife was with my husband and young family in April 2012, so it was great to go back as a couple – our first weekend abroad in 10 years without the children!
As a destination Tenerife has come on so much in terms of an activity destination with a multitude of sports activities and water sports to choose from – you could never be bored.
We loved our four day break to Tenerife and we hope to return soon.
