About Suzanne
Hello, I‘m Suzanne a member of the Designer Travel team based in Worcester Park, Surrey and live here very happily with my husband and son.
My passion for travel started at a very early age and it felt the natural career choice for me to work in the travel industry. As a result, I worked for British Airways at London’s Heathrow Airport from the tender age of 18 years old! For the next 21 years, I furthered my career within the airline, developing a real passion for delivering excellent customer service.
However, I have now truly found happiness working as a Personal Travel Expert for Designer Travel which I have done since the middle of 2010. I absolutely love sharing my in-depth travel knowledge and personal experiences that I have gained over the years to help create the perfect holiday. I get a great sense of satisfaction when my customers return from a holiday and tell me they had a wonderful time and it was all thanks to me!
Although I can help with any kind of holiday request, I greatly enjoy being a complimentary overseas wedding and honeymoon planner and working with brides and grooms. Getting married abroad or going on honeymoon is the most important and special trip they will make once in a lifetime and it is my responsibility to make it as perfect as possible for them.
I also received the fantastic accolade of being voted by my customers through Cornish Brides Magazine as being the best travel professional in Cornwall planning honeymoons and weddings abroad which I was chuffed to bits with.
I also enjoy working with groups travelling and have been very fortunate to be the travel agent of choice working each year with an Independent School who attend a conference in China every year as well as organising an extensive sight-seeing programme for them. Other group bookings I have worked on include business trips and Hen and Stag weekend breaks for wedding couples.
Going on holiday myself, the best trip I have been on has to be to Barbados with my husband on our first holiday together. We stayed at a fantastic adult-only All Inclusive Resort and did lots of exploring around the island by Jeep. What made the holiday even more special was celebrating my husband’s birthday by having a meal at The Cliff Restaurant which we had to book months in advance of our arrival.
The worst holiday I had was when I was in Los Angeles and experienced a large earthquake in the middle of the night. Got woken up at 4am to find the whole room shaking – I thought I was having a nightmare!
So, if you are looking for holiday inspiration, great service and value for money then give me a call - I'd be delighted to help!
