Viva Las Vegas!

Viva Las Vegas!

I am often asked by couples getting married to give them information on a 3 or 4 night trip to Las Vegas – not necessarily as their honeymoon destination but for their Hen and Stag trips instead!  Ticks all the boxes and with both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic flying non-stop from London to get there, it is so accessible.  If you book well in advance too, we have some fantastic rates at anything from standard 3 star hotels which are very inexpensive, right through to 5 star luxury at The Bellagio, Vdara and Caesars Palace, to name but a few. As you would expect from a desert location, the weather in Las Vegas is generally hot and dry year round with very little rainfall.  The hottest months are June, July and August with temperatures in the top 30 degrees Celsius to low 40 degrees Celsius and the humidity is quite high.  The most pleasant time of year to visit is generally in spring when temperatures and humidity are more comfortable. Las Vegas is certainly the gaming capital of the world and quite simply, no one in the world does it better or with more glitz!  Whether you are a roulette beginner, a slot machine fan or a cool poker player, there’s a game here to take your fancy.  The majority of the most spectacular gaming venues are found on the four mile Las Vegas Boulevard which is more famously known as ‘The Strip’.  Just remember in Las Vegas, you have to be over 21 years old to play. You also can’t visit Las Vegas without taking in a show.  With over 100 different shows per day to see in Las Vegas, you will never be short of entertainment.  The most popular are the big budget productions at the largest venues such as Caesars Palace and the Bellagio – this is a city of dreams which draws in legendary names for unforgettable performances. And for those shopaholics, Las Vegas is a shopper’s paradise!  It offers world-class retail therapy to satisfy even the most dedicated shopper.  Big designer names are all here on the Strip – from Versace to Prada, as well as brand shops of contemporary cosmetics and luxury goods.  The best shopping experience are in the mega malls – particularly Fashion Show which is one of the largest malls with over 250 shops, restaurants and seven flagship department stores including Neiman Marcus, Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.  You can also grab a bargain at factory outlet stores such as Las Vegas Premium Outlets which has stores offering up to 65% savings on branded goods. An exciting thing to do whilst in Las Vegas is taking a helicopter tour and experience a birds-eye view of The Strip, the magnificent Hoover Dam and the panoramic vistas of the Grand Canyon.  From your helicopter, you will have the most amazing views which lie below and may even tempt you to take a trip into the Grand Canyon.  There you can join real-life cowboys who will take you on a wagon or horse-back ride to see herds of buffalo in the Canyon, before all gathering around a camp-fire for a western-style evening.
