My Beachcomber Escape: Mauritian Paradise
I’ve travelled to beautiful places before, but nothing prepared me for the moment I arrived in Mauritius for my Beachcomber holiday. The air was warm and sweet, the ocean impossibly blue, and as I stepped into the resort, I felt something shift inside me. It was as if the world slowed down just enough for me to breathe again.
From the very first moment, I knew this wasn’t just a holiday.
It was a feeling—one I’d been craving without even realising it.
Arriving in Paradise
The drive from the airport took me through sugarcane fields and tiny villages, each one more colourful than the last. And then, suddenly, the landscape opened up to reveal the resort: palm‑lined pathways, white‑sand beaches, and water so clear it looked like glass.
A cool drink in hand, I was welcomed with the warmth Mauritius is famous for. It felt personal, genuine—like I was returning to a place I’d known forever.
My Suite: A Sanctuary by the Sea
My room was everything I imagined and more.
Light, airy, and filled with natural textures, it opened onto a terrace overlooking the lagoon. I could hear the waves from my bed. I could see the sunrise without lifting my head from the pillow.
The bathroom was a dream—deep bathtub, soft robes, and the scent of tropical oils drifting through the air. I unpacked slowly, savouring the feeling of settling into a space designed purely for relaxation.
Days That Drift Between Adventure and Relaxation
What I loved most about staying at Victoria Beachcomber was how easy everything felt.
• I spent my mornings swimming in the warm, clear lagoon.
• I wandered along the beach, watching the colours shift across the water.
• I tried snorkelling for the first time and saw fish in colours I didn’t know existed.
• I lounged by the pool with a book, letting the sun melt away every last bit of stress.
And when I wanted something a little more indulgent, I headed to the Beachcomber Spa. The treatments were heavenly—soft music, tropical oils, and therapists who seemed to know exactly what my body needed.
Evenings Filled With Magic
As the sun dipped low, the entire resort glowed gold.
Dinner was always a highlight—fresh seafood, Mauritian spices, and dishes crafted with such care that every bite felt like a celebration.
Some nights I lingered at the bar, listening to live music drift across the water. Other nights I walked along the beach, letting the warm sand sink between my toes as the stars appeared one by one.
Why My Beachcomber Holiday Stayed With Me
Beachcomber has a way of making everything feel effortless.
The service is warm, the atmosphere relaxed, and the surroundings so beautiful they hardly seem real. It’s luxury without pretence—just pure, natural, unforgettable comfort.
I left feeling lighter, calmer, and already dreaming of returning.
And I will.
