My Stay at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber: A Tropical Escape I Can’t Stop Thinking About

Some resorts impress you… And then some resorts stay with you long after you’ve left. Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa is firmly in the second category for me. From the moment I arrived, I felt wrapped in that signature Mauritian warmth — the kind that instantly slows your heartbeat and makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a softer, more beautiful world.

A Resort Designed Around Nature

Trou aux Biches is one of those rare places where luxury and nature blend effortlessly. The entire resort is built around a philosophy of tropical elegance: suites tucked into lush gardens, winding pathways shaded by palms, and a beach that looks like it’s been lifted straight from a travel magazine.

My suite opened out onto a private terrace surrounded by greenery, and every morning I woke to birdsong and the soft glow of sunlight filtering through the trees. It felt peaceful, private, and wonderfully indulgent.

The Beach That Stole My Heart

The beach here is something special. Powder‑soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and sunsets that seem to set the whole sky on fire. I spent hours floating in the warm lagoon, snorkelling over coral, and simply lying back with a book while the world melted away.

Trou aux Biches has a way of making you forget time exists.

Dining That Made Every Day Delicious

One of the biggest highlights of my stay was the food — honestly, it’s some of the best I’ve had at any resort.

L’Oasis – Where Every Meal Feels Like a Celebration

This became my daily ritual. Breakfasts were a colourful spread of tropical fruit, pastries, fresh juices, and made‑to‑order dishes. Evenings brought themed buffets that were vibrant, varied, and beautifully presented.

Blue Ginger – A Standout Experience

If you love Asian cuisine, this is a must. The flavours were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The Thai chef’s tasting menu was unforgettable.

La Caravelle – Beachfront Elegance

Dining here at sunset felt magical. Fresh seafood, refined dishes, and a view that made every bite taste even better.

With six restaurants to choose from, every day felt like a new culinary adventure.

The Spa: A Sanctuary Within a Sanctuary

If the beach soothed my soul, the Spa Beachcomber completely restored it. Hidden among tropical gardens, the spa feels like a world of its own — quiet, fragrant, and deeply calming.

I booked a signature massage, and it was pure bliss. Warm oils, expert therapists, and treatment rooms that open onto nature… it was the kind of experience that makes you feel lighter, softer, and more connected to yourself.

Afterwards, I lingered in the relaxation area, sipping herbal tea and wishing I could bottle the feeling.

A Note About Refurbishment

Trou aux Biches Beachcomber is closed for refurbishment between 15th May 2026 and 15th October 2026, with the resort taking this time to elevate its facilities and enhance the guest experience even further. If anything, it makes me even more excited to return — because if it was this incredible before, I can only imagine how spectacular it will be when it reopens.
