My Stay at Mauricia Beachcomber: The Heartbeat of Grand Baie

Set right on the edge of Grand Baie, Mauritius’ most vibrant coastal village, it gave me the perfect blend of relaxation, energy, and that unmistakable Mauritian charm.

From the moment I arrived, I felt the buzz of the place — friendly staff, sparkling turquoise water, and a lively atmosphere that instantly put me in holiday mode.

My room was bright, modern, and just steps from the pool, with a terrace that became my favourite spot for morning coffee. The resort wraps around a huge, palm‑lined pool that seems to glow in the afternoon light. I spent hours drifting between the water, the beach, and the bar, feeling the stress melt away with every passing minute.

The Best of Grand Baie on Your Doorstep

One of the things I loved most was the location. You can stroll straight from the resort into Grand Baie, where colourful boutiques, cafés, bars, and markets line the waterfront. It is lively, fun, and full of local flavour.

But when you step back into Mauricia, you are right on a beautiful stretch of beach — soft sand, calm lagoon water, and views that make you want to stay forever.

Food That Makes Every Day Delicious

Mauricia surprised me with how good the food was. It is relaxed, fresh, and full of flavour — exactly what you want on a sunshine holiday.

Les Quais– My Daily Favourite

This is where I had breakfast and most dinners, and it never disappointed. Think tropical fruit, pastries, fresh juices, and hot dishes cooked right in front of you. Evenings brought themed buffets with everything from Mauritian curries to grilled seafood and international classics.

Le Nautic– Beachfront Bliss

For something a little more intimate, Le Nautic was perfect. Fresh fish, ocean views, and that soft evening breeze… it felt like the kind of dinner you remember long after you have gone home.

And of course, being a Beachcomber resort, the service was warm, genuine, and always delivered with a smile.

The Spa: A Quiet Escape Within the Resort

When I wanted a break from the buzz of Grand Baie, I slipped into the Spa Beachcomber — a peaceful little sanctuary tucked away from the livelier parts of the resort. My massage was heavenly: warm oils, expert hands, and a sense of calm that stayed with me for the rest of the day.

It is the perfect balance to the resort’s upbeat energy.
