The Grecotel Eva Palace

If you‘re after a luxury low-key, fly-and-flop holiday with amazing views then this Hotel is for you. Just a 30-minute hop from Corfu Airport brings you to Kommeno Bay, a steep resort on Corfu‘s Eastern Ionian Coast. Positioned on the top of the Kommeno Peninsula, The Grecotel Eva Palace has the most thrilling views over two sparkling seas, nestled in cypress gardens and olive groves only 10 minutes from Corfu town, yet feels worlds away. Within the grounds of The Grecotel Eva Palace, there are different room options each with a fresh and modern design. Choose from a romantic collection of Grecotel Rooms, Suites, beautiful Bungalows or Private Villa. The collection of rooms has a choice of style and views ranging from Garden Views to Panoramic Sea Views with some available for Families up to 4. The Suites & Bungalows are within the grounds and some can accommodate families up to 4. The piste de resisitance at The Grecotel Eva Palace has to be the Luxury Villas, amazing locations with amazing views out to sea. The Hotel has a large saltwater pool with a children's section ( reached by steps if you are in the main building ) decoratively laid out but the beach was my Happy Place. The Grecotel Eva Palace is set on a secluded mostly sand/pebble beach where the water laps at the end of your very comfy lounger. Beach & pool amenities include towels, showers, changing cabins, umbrellas & sun beds, and sun terraces. There's plenty of imaginative cuisine too at The Grecotel Eva Palace, with panoramic views of the Ionian sea from the buffet restaurant. Eva Palace boasts 4 restaurants including La Contessa - Italian, Steak & Sushi, Mediterrano Buffet Restaurant and Pool Restaurant. You also have the opportunity of eating at the other Grecotel Hotel's close by - reservation required. The Grecotel offers a variety of Board Basis. For flexibility there is a Bed & Breakfast, Half Board gives you an evening meal in the Mediterranean Buffet Restaurant or a 20 euro credit towards La Contessa or Steak & Sushi. The Comfort All Inclusive Package includes buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner. snacks wine, beer, spirits, cocktails and non alcoholic drinks are also included. There are 3 Bars, The Lobby Bar ( this was my favourite which has a luxury feel and the most amazing views over Kommeno Bay ), The Pool Bar ( which has singers / DJs on in the evening ) and The Beach Bar ( which is a fairly new addition, which offers lunchtime meals too ) Entertainment is low key and casual, the odd singer or musician and although there are children at The Grecotel, the kid's club was very discreet and there was no full-on kids entertainment here. Most evenings were spent having our meal and ending up with a few cocktails in The Lobby Bar staring out at that amazing view. An important point to note is that due to the number of steps at this property and its location on the Kommeno Peninsula, I would not recommend for the less mobile. I also think if you have small children who need prams or buggies will struggle too. The Grecotel Eva Palace is an old-world luxury property with a boutique-style ambience - I can't wait to go back!
