Why IKOS Dassia & IKOS Odisia Should Be on Your Luxury Holiday Wish List

If you‘re looking for a luxury all-inclusive holiday that genuinely lives up to the hype, then IKOS Dassia and IKOS Odisia in Corfu should definitely be on your radar.

At the end of April, I spent five nights experiencing IKOS Dassia and also had the opportunity to explore its sister property, IKOS Odisia. The trip was a mixture of relaxation and fact-finding, giving me the chance to experience firsthand what makes the IKOS brand so popular.

The Journey

We flew from Heathrow with British Airways, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to arrival. Corfu Airport was relatively quiet, although there were only three immigration desks open, so I can imagine queues building during the peak summer months. Fortunately, the new Entry/Exit System (EES) wasn't yet in place, so we were through in no time.

As soon as we stepped outside the terminal, an IKOS representative was waiting with our private transfer. Around 25 minutes later, we were pulling into the stunning grounds of IKOS Dassia.

First Impressions

The welcome couldn't have been easier.

I'd already completed our passport details using the IKOS app before travelling, which meant check-in was quick and effortless. The app is incredibly useful too, allowing you to reserve restaurants, book spa treatments, yoga classes and activities before you even arrive.

We stayed in a Superior Double Inland View room, although we were pleasantly surprised to have a glimpse of the sea from the side of our balcony. The room was spacious, beautifully designed and immaculate.

The minibar was stocked with branded drinks and snacks and replenished every day. Even better, if you fancy a particular wine or spirit that's not already in your room, simply send the concierge a WhatsApp message, and it'll be delivered straight to your door.

Now that's service!

What Makes IKOS Different?

There are plenty of all-inclusive resorts, but IKOS takes the concept to another level.

Everything feels premium.

Think branded spirits, cocktails made properly, waiter service around the pools and beaches, and outstanding à la carte restaurants included as standard. If you prefer something more relaxed, there's also an excellent buffet restaurant with an impressive choice.

Evenings are elegant rather than loud, with live music and relaxed entertainment in the lobby creating a lovely atmosphere without feeling over the top.

A Beautiful Location

IKOS Dassia sits in the lovely resort of Dassia on Corfu's east coast, with spectacular views across the water towards Albania.

The resort itself is small but has everything you need, while Corfu Town is only a short drive away. The hotel even operates a complimentary shuttle bus, making it easy to spend an afternoon wandering the charming streets, browsing independent shops and stopping for a drink in one of the many cafés.

I absolutely loved Corfu Town and can't wait to return later this year to explore even more.

Sustainability Done Properly

One thing that really impressed me was IKOS's commitment to sustainability.

You'll find no single-use plastic water bottles here. Instead, fresh filtered water is delivered to your room and served around the pools throughout the day.

It's refreshing to see a luxury hotel group making meaningful changes while maintaining such high standards.

The Dine Out Experience

One of my favourite parts of the stay was the complimentary Dine Out programme.

Rather than keeping guests inside the resort every evening, IKOS encourages you to experience authentic local restaurants. You simply choose from two carefully selected restaurants, and your meal and drinks are all included as part of your holiday. And the hotel will transport you there and back - so no drink driving !!

It's a brilliant way to support local businesses while enjoying genuine Greek hospitality.

After dinner, we spent time exploring Corfu Town, making the whole evening feel much more authentic than a typical all-inclusive holiday.

Explore the Island

Another fantastic inclusion is the complimentary one-day car hire.

Guests can borrow an electric Mini Countryman for the day, giving you complete freedom to discover Corfu's hidden beaches, mountain villages and stunning coastline at your own pace.

It's another thoughtful touch that really sets IKOS apart.

Is It Just for Couples?

Absolutely not.

One of the things I loved most about both IKOS Dassia and IKOS Odisia was how well they cater for every type of traveller.

Whether you're travelling as a couple, a family with young children, celebrating a special occasion, or planning a multi-generational holiday, there's accommodation to suit everyone—from stylish standard rooms through to luxurious suites with private pools.

If you're looking for a little more peace, there are adults-only pools, adults-only beach areas and dedicated adults-only dining sections too.

The Sunbed Question...

Let's be honest - it's one of the biggest questions people ask!

I'm pleased to report there was absolutely no need for an early morning race for a sunbed.

We always found plenty available around the pools, and even clients who travelled during the busy May half-term holidays told me they never struggled to find one, despite the resort being full.

It's such a small thing, but it makes a huge difference to the overall holiday experience.

Final Thoughts

Five nights simply wasn't enough.

Although this trip was mainly to experience both IKOS properties, it reminded me just how beautiful Corfu really is.

I'm already heading back in September to stay with another hotel group closer to Corfu Town, so I'll be sharing another review and plenty more recommendations later in the year.

If you're considering Corfu and wondering whether IKOS is worth the investment, my answer is a definite yes.

The combination of exceptional service, outstanding food, premium all-inclusive benefits and thoughtful extras creates a holiday experience that really does stand out.
