South Africa Safari

Safari March 2023

I flew from Heathrow to Johannesburg on an overnight flight and was met at the Airport to be transferred to The Sebetana Reserve. The Sebetana Reserve covers an area of 15,000 hectares and has lots of animal spotting opportunities within it‘s boundaries such as Giraffe, Zebra, Gazelles and Monkeys. It offers luxury accommodation options, I stayed at The Elephant Lodge on a full board basis but upgraded to include drinks. There is a range of Safari activities for visitors. I took part in game drives, bush walks and bird watching to explore the diverse wildlife of the reserve. There was also trips to enjoy the sunset, and a Tribal Evening too.

To get a better chance of seeing The Big Five - Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhinoceros and Buffalo - I added an additional excursion to Pilanesburg National Park and managed to tick all those boxes, it was amazing. I‘ll never forget seeing a whole elephant family crossing right in front of us !!

My whole Safari experience was packed full of highlights and I've picked up some great tips for my clients so I have lots to share with anyone looking to do the same type of Holiday. My trip ended with a tour of Johannesburg and The Apartheid Museum.

Another overnight flight back to Heathrow courtesy of British Airways with great service brought my trip to an end.
