Trip to Dubai, November 2025

This was my 2nd visit to Dubai, the first, however, being over 20 years ago and wow, how Dubai has changed!

Dubai now offers a dazzling blend of futuristic architecture, sun-kissed beaches, vibrant souks, and world-class hotels, restaurants and shopping. From the soaring Burj Khalifa and shimmering Dubai Fountain to buzzing cultural quarters like Al Fahidi, the city masters the art of balancing modern luxury with rich tradition. Whether you‘re planning family adventures or a romantic escape, Dubai’s appeal spans all tastes and styles.

I stayed at The Jumeriah Beach Hotel, set right on Jumeriah Beach itself. This iconic wave-shaped beachfront resort provides 5-star luxury just steps from Dubai’s most famous landmark, The Burj Al Arab. I loved this Hotel the quality and service were amazing!

The Jumeriah Beach has its own section of private beach & five temperature-controlled pools with stunning sea views and direct sightlines to said Burj Al Arab. Unlimited access to the famed Wild Wadi Waterpark, adjacent to the hotel, is also included.

From stylish ocean-view guest rooms ( I had an Ocean Deluxe Room ) to exquisite beachfront villas, the hotel offers a variety of tailored stays:

Ocean Deluxe & Family Deluxe Ocean Rooms overlook the Gulf and Burj Al Arab.

Club Lounge Rooms offer club lounge perks along with balcony views.

Multi-bedroom Suites (1–3 bedrooms) designed for families or groups are also available.

Al Bahar Villas (1–3 bedrooms) with private pools and dedicated butler service—perfect for luxury seekers.

The Jumeriah Beach Hotel has 11 dining options with varying themes and caters to all tastes. My favourites were :

Mediterranean: Nuska Beach, Verde Beach

British: Dhow & Anchor gastropub

International: Kitchen Connection, Fika (Italian-inspired café)

Rooftop bar: Floor 24 – sweeping city and sea panoramas

Beach Club: Pearl Lounge, pool bar, and Creations Cakery

A Spa and a comprehensive fitness centre with sauna and classes are available,e along with an exclusive Kids Club with supervised fun for younger guests.

In addition to this fabulous Hotel, there are lots of nearby attractions:

Burj Al Arab – within easy walking distance, ideal for an afternoon tea or rooftop pit-stop. Reservations are essential, I‘ve dined here, and it is amind-blowingg experience!

Visit the Souks or take a boat ride on a traditional Arba through Dubai Creek.

Kite Beach is nearby, popular with locals and has lots of cafes, restaurants, good for a stroll or surf.

Explore Downtown Dubai: Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and Dubai Fountain are easily accessible via taxi, which are really well priced.

Visit the Desert on a 4x4 through the sunsets, this was really fun and ends with traditional entertainment and food.

I really enjoyed Dubai and the Jumeriah Beach Hotel. This trip had a combination of luxury, sightseeing, great food,c culture, and definitely requires another visit, though I won't wait another 20years !!!
