Costa Rica Trip
Costa Rica Trip
Costa Rica is known for its stunning natural beauty and abundant wildlife and boy, did it tick all of those boxes! I travelled in November which is at the end of the wet season. Typically Costa Rica has a tropical climate and the dry season runs from December - to April but don‘t let this put you off as Costa Rica‘s rainy season offers lush green landscapes, fewer tourists, and great pricing. I flew into the capital of San Jose with British Airways in a premium economy seat which I'd recommend for this 10.5 hr journey. After 1 night in San Jose, it was off to explore the Arenal Volcano where we spotted our first Sloth, which Costa Rica is well known for. Our Hotel was amazing, Nayara Springs. My room had its own pool and outdoor shower. Moving on to The Monteverde Cloud Forest brought more wildlife and stunning scenery along with lots of outdoor adventures like white water rafting, zip-lining, and hiking. We then travelled over to the Pacific Coast for more wildlife spotting but this also incorporated great beaches, a kayaking trip, and fabulous walks. My Hotel, Arenas del Mar in Manuel Antonio was the only one with access directly to the beach. Costa Rica is all about wildlife and nature. You can spot monkeys, sloths, toucans, macaws, and sea turtles in the many National Parks and reserves. It's a place where you are immersed in the jungle and believe me it's got to be seen to be appreciated, the noise is amazing. Costa Rica is a leader in sustainable tourism practices and it's clear to see that they are committed to eco-tourism principles and preserving the environment. It is also considered to be one of the safest countries in Central America. I used private transfers and had my own guides throughout this trip to get the most out of every location. They helped us spot the most amazing wildlife, birds, flowers & fauna. There are options including domestic flights, shuttle services, and rental cars I'd be happy to discuss your individual needs for this amazing place.
