Hi, my name is Debbie & I live in Bournemouth, Dorset with my husband & two daughters. My passion for travel started at a very young age whilst growing up in South Africa, where I dreamt of travelling the world, visiting exotic countries as well as experiencing different foods & cultures. Having completed my Travel & Tourism course, I became an inbound tour operator promoting South Africa. From the stunning beaches & winelands in Cape Town, the picturesque Garden Route to the famous Big Five in the Kruger National Park.

At the age of 21, I moved to London where I worked for a corporate travel company, organising travel for various international banks and government sectors such as the Department for International Development. I spent my weekends & holidays exploring countless European cities as well as further afield places such as Mauritius, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco & India, to name but a few.

My dream came true when my husband & I put on our backpacks and for 15 months travelled the world exploring the breathtaking Angkor Wat & Buddha Temples in Asia, Ayers Rock & Sydney Bridge in Australia, scuba diving in Fiji, Volcanoes in Hawaii, Machu Picchu & Easter Island in South America, Las Vegas & the Grand Canyon in North America, to Safaris & Table Mountain in South Africa. In total we covered 5 continents & 25 countries! These 15 months enabled me to have first-hand knowledge and to share my experiences with others who love to travel.

We moved from England to Dubai where we lived for 7 years. Raising our girls in Dubai during this time enabled us to explore the UAE extensively, and to visit nearby countries including Oman, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar, Maldives & the Seychelles.

We are now back in the UK where I am very excited to join Designer Travel & share my knowledge & experience of this beautiful world that we live in.
