Burj Al Arab Jumeirah
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah
We surprised our girls with an unforgettable stay at the iconic, only 7-star hotel in the world … the Burj al Arab! Video blog - https://youtu.be/n0rmUrPvrLI
Designed by Tom Wright to resemble the billowing sail of a dhow, the Burj al Arab was completed in 1999 and is located on an artificial island connected to the mainland by a private bridge. The hotel has 199 exclusive suites, each allocated 8 dedicated staff members and a 24-hour butler service.
The Burj al Arab is a unique hotel designed in true Arabian luxury. Their service is impeccable and we were treated like royalty especially our girls, who thought they were princesses. There is nothing they can’t arrange for you.
We stayed in their Deluxe Marina Suite, which is a spacious 170sqm, spread across 2 floors with breathtaking sea views over the Arabian Gulf and includes:
- Butler service and 24-hour concierge
- Hermès amenities
- Private living room with a dedicated powder room
- Master bathroom with a full size jacuzzi and a separate 5-head rain shower
- Remote controlled environment including curtains, TV, music and lights
- Unlimited entry to the Summersalt Beach Club and Wild Wadi Waterpark
Two of the Burj Al Arab’s most popular restaurants are:
Al Muntaha – one-Michelin star serving the finest French and Italian cuisine by Chef Saverio Sbaragli. Located on the 27th floor with stunning views over the Arabian Gulf during the day. Please note this restaurant has an age policy of 8 years & above.
Al Mahara – Italian culinary of the sea by Chef Andrea Migliaccio from Capri’s two-Michelin star ‘Ristorante L’Olivo’. Located on the ground floor and known for its floor to ceiling aquarium. Please note this restaurant has an age policy of 8 years & above.
Enjoy a pre or post dinner cocktail at:
Gilt – a contemporary cocktail bar with a vibrant atmosphere.
Skyview Bar – eclectic drinks 200m above sea level with beautiful views from the 27th floor.
Bookings at these restaurants are essential as they get booked up months in advance.
However, if you’d prefer to eat elsewhere you can also dine at any of the Jumeirah hotel’s numerous restaurants nearby.
Make sure you visit the opulent Royal Suite on their ‘Inside Tour’ – located on the 25th floor, here you will see revolving beds, a gold plated TV and of course the shower decorated in 24 carat gold plated tiles. This suite costs approx. US$ 24,000 per night and has hosted the likes of Nelson Mandela, Justin Bieber and Lewis Hamilton but to name a few!
I highly recommend treating yourself to this once in a lifetime experience at the Burj Al Arab!
