Magnificent Maldives

Ailafushi is a 4-star property - lively island - karaoke, music on the beach, activities, foam party once a week. Generally suited to younger couples or families with children, including teens.

Adjoining island Lobogili is adult-only - accessed by a bridge - clients here can use the facilities of Ailafushi, but not vice versa.

We dined in Blu - the largest underwater restaurant in the Maldives - stunning with wine paired with the food. Extra $125 plus tax per person to dine here. If on Lobogili, one free dining here for every 4 nights.

Ailafushi - you pay to hire snorkels and also for any snorkelling trips by boat.

You have 15 minutes of non-motorised water sports each day, like paddle boarding.

Only the buffet is included here - all other dining options are at an additional charge. The lobster night is $79 pp.

The spa at Ailifushu - 8 treatment rooms and a thermal area with a jacuzzi and sauna, and an open area to relax after your treatment. You can use the thermal area for $10 per hour per person. Once you have had your treatment, you can then make your juice from the juice bar.

The lead rooms are on two floors with an ocean view - they are in small blocks with the outer rooms in the blocks being two-bedroom family rooms with two bathrooms.

Kids club 9-6 4 years plus- this is free

Babysitting for younger children at $25 per hour.

If under 4, parents can stay with them to use the facilities, and they have their shallow pool. Games room for teens and a movie room
