Whether you choose Seaplane of Domestic Flight and Speedboat Transfer, in either case you'll be taken care of the moment you step out of Male airport and get received by the Lily Beach reps.
A welcome drink is well in order after your long flight and then it's off to the lounge where you can kick back and chill, watch the seaplanes taking off and leave the worries to the staff who will organise your luggage and take you to the seaplane when it's ready.

A couple of things to note, seaplanes only fly in daylight and calm conditions, the plane journey is 25 mins and you need to be able to get up the narrow steps onto the snug seaplane. If you don't like small spaces or cannot step up high steps, choose the Domestic Flight and Speedboat option.

The staff will greet you waving from the dock and you'll enjoy a welcome drink and a briefing on the island and what you can expect. This is done via hand held tablet and you'll receive a thorough orientation. Next up it's a buggy trip to your chosen room, where you'll find your luggage waiting for you.

Lily Beach has received many awards for it's all inclusive options, there are 7 bars/restaurants including Buffet options and a Quiet area that has an adult only pool and bar.
You can walk the entire island within about 10 mins as it's pretty small, but you'll be able to ask one of the Butlers to take you by Buggy to wherever you fancy going! The one thing you won't want to miss is the House reef which has some fine snorkelling!

If you love water, you'll love Lily Beach.
I'll start with the Whale Sharks, Lily is in a unique position in the Maldives, making it a paradise for Whale Sharks. They breed here, raise their young and contrary to many destinations can be seen here all year round.
The topography creates a large basin and channel in which the Sharks can dive deep to breed but then bask and teach their young calfs to hunt and survive in the 'nursery' area and shallows. You can enjoy Manta Ray watching and swim with both the rays and Whale sharks all throughout the year. Don't discount the low season here as you'll still get a great experience and enjoy the warm waters.

Snorkelling the house reef is a must, you can collect Fins and Mask (included) on arrival and swim from the beach or your Water Bungalow to the reef drop off and witness all the wonders of the Maldives underwater world.

Food and Drink and of a high stanfdard here and as someone with specific Dietary requirements I was delighted to have special menu items available.

Kids are well catered for here with a Club and facilities to keep them entertained.
