Iberostar Selection Sábila, Tenerife – My Honest Review After Staying There

One of the questions I‘m asked most often is whether anadults-only hotelis really worth it. Having just spent a few days at Iberostar Selection Sábila in Costa Adeje, I can honestly say... yes, absolutely!

As someone who has enjoyed many family holidays over the years, I wasn't quite prepared for just how relaxing an adults-only hotel could be. There's a completely different atmosphere. It's peaceful, calm and perfect if you're looking to unwind without the hustle and bustle that naturally comes with family resorts.

First Impressions

From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. Check-in was smooth, and we were welcomed with a refreshing glass of fizz, which immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay.

We upgraded to Star Prestige, Iberostar's premium experience, and for us, it was well worth the additional cost.

Is Star Prestige Worth It?

For me, yes.

The exclusive rooftop area was one of my favourite parts of the hotel. It offered a quieter swimming pool, comfortable loungers and fantastic views.

The Star Prestige lounge was another great benefit, offering complimentary beer, cava, wine, spirits, soft drinks and light snacks throughout the day. It became a lovely place to stop for a drink before heading out for the evening.

If you're celebrating a special occasion or simply want an extra touch of luxury, I'd definitely recommend considering Star Prestige.

The Best Idea I've Seen at a Hotel

One feature that really stood out was the hotel's sunbed reservation system.

Even guests who aren't staying in Star Prestige can reserve their sunbeds using the Iberostar app. No early morning towel races, no queues and no unnecessary stress.

It's such a simple idea, but it makes a huge difference to the overall holiday experience.

Breakfast

Although we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, breakfast was excellent.

There was plenty of choice and, because we weren't rushing off to secure sunbeds or organise children, we could simply relax, enjoy another coffee and take our time each morning.

It became one of the nicest parts of the day.

Location

The location is another huge advantage.

Situated in Costa Adeje, the hotel is just a couple of minutes' walk from the seafront promenade, giving easy access to bars, restaurants, shops and the beach.

Of course, you'll also come across Tenerife's famous "Lucky Lucky" sellers. I have to admit... Aimee ended up with a new handbag! 😊

Everything you need is within easy walking distance, making it an ideal base for a relaxing break.

Would I Return?

Without hesitation.

I've stayed in Costa Adeje before, and Iberostar Selection Sábila is definitely one I'd return to.

The combination of excellent service, fantastic food, a superb location and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere made it one of the most enjoyable adults-only hotels I've experienced.

If you're looking for a couple's escape, travelling with friends or simply fancy a few days of peace, I'd certainly recommend adding this hotel to your shortlist.
