St Regis Le Morne
St Regis Le Morne
This 5 star hotel is located in the Le Morne area with amazing views right on the penninsula.
It has 169 rooms and a 4 bedroomed villa. Rooms can be guaranteed to interconnect on request. All rooms are suites with butler service, a lounge area and the lead in room is a huge 65sq m with the larger suites being 150sq m.
There are 5 a la carte restaurants and a buffet for breakfast, and you can book as B&B, Half Board or Full Board. You are also able to interdine with the sister hotels on the island (transport not included though)
There are lots of activities, including non-motorised water sports, complimentary bike hire, and guided walking/hiking tours up Le Morne, which is highly recommended and can suit all abilities. (You must be able to walk uphill, though)
There is one main pool at the resort and also a smaller garden pool, both of which are heated.
There is a kids' and teens club with a great activity room in the main building and lots of activities to keep the little ones entertained.
The staff here are just amazing and so attentive - I only visited for the day and was treated like a guest who's been going for years.
We were treated to lunch at the Boathouse restaurant, which had fantastic views over the beach and sea, and the food/service were incredible.
We were shown one of the beachfront suites, which was 100sq m and was beautifully designed and very well appointed. I have never seen a bath as big as the one in here!
They conduct marriage ceremonies on site and limit them to 1 per day, so you are not rushed on your special day, and it is a glorious venue for a wedding.
As the hotel is right at the end of the Le Morne peninsula, there is not a lot nearby, so to get to shops and other restaurants, etc, I would recommend car hire or a taxi. The car hire is very reasonable, and I found it very easy to drive over there as I paid for a sat nav (recommended) and they drive on the same side as the UK.
This is a hotel I can recommend and wouldn't hesitate to send my clients here.
