Swimming with Nurse Sharks: A True Bucket List Experience

The standout experience for many of us was undoubtedly Shark Bank.

After a short speedboat ride from the island, we found ourselves in the water surrounded by approximately twenty nurse sharks, some reaching six feet in length.

Despite their size, nurse sharks are calm and non-aggressive, allowing us to enjoy the encounter comfortably and safely.

Alongside the sharks were:

Schools of colourful reef fish

Crystal-clear visibility

It was one of the most exhilarating wildlife experiences any of us have enjoyed.

The Search for Manta Rays and Whale Sharks

Another unforgettable excursion took us in search of manta rays and whale sharks.

Wildlife experiences are never guaranteed, and that's exactly what makes them so special.

While the whale shark decided not to make an appearance on this occasion, we were incredibly fortunate to discover manta rays feeding at a cleaning station.

Watching these graceful creatures hover effortlessly whilst cleaner fish attended to them was mesmerising.

Seeing manta rays in their natural habitat wasn't just a holiday highlight. It was genuinely one of the most memorable wildlife encounters we've ever experienced.
