The Fabulous French Riviera

My Passion for travel started at the age of five when I embarked on a fabulous adventure with my family touring the South of France in a VW Caravanette and although I have been lucky enough to visit some amazing places as an adult this part of the world holds a special place in my heart, I have returned with my own family to show them this wonderful place first hand. This part of the world has something to offer everybody whatever you desire from a holiday. Why not visit the beautiful beaches of St Rafael or Frejus and bask in the sunshine. For those who like to people watch there is ample opportunity to look out for the rich and famous all year round in Marseille the second largest city in France after Paris. Or enjoy a coffee or a cocktail and watch the world go by in the beautiful St Tropez playground to the stars, you can even charter a yacht if you want to enjoy the high life for the day. Should you wish to take in some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe why not visit The Gorges Du Verdon the Verdon is rightly considered the most beautiful canyon in Europe and it is walked over by hickers from all over the world. If you like adventure you can enjoy the Gorge in a number of ways such as balloon or microlite flights or maybe you would like to Canoe or Kayak on the lake or even take a daring bike ride. However you choose to enjoy it take you camera as there will definitely be some great photo opportunities. In my opinion a great time to visit the South of France is during May when this place becomes a true hive of activity with two major events that turn a great holiday into a really special one. As part of your trip you could visit to the Cannes Film Festival (14-25 May 2014) or The Monte Carlo Grande Prix (22-25 May 2014) or do what I did and visit both and what an amazing adventure it was.
