Paradise in the Maldives

Oblu Sangeli is a stunning 5* resort island, 50 minutes from Male by speedboat. If you every wanted to visit paradise then Sangeli should be on your list. Purest whitest sand surround the island which consists of 137 villas and suites ranging from beach to overwater villas, which face either sunrise or sunset. We were given a tour of all rooms categories which are designed and maintained to 5* standard. Sangeli is a child friendly resort which caters to families with a Children‘s Club and waterslide into the ocean but also attracts many couples and honeymooners. Adults are well catered for with an Adult Only pool and bar, plus the spa is excellent offering a variety of treatments. Sangeli is also an All Inclusive island and Oblu's Serenity Plan is a very generous and excellent offering. Speciality dining at Just Wok and Just Grill along with the buffet and show cooking at The Courtyard means there is enough variety and excellent dining options to satisfy the most discerning palate. I was really impressed with both evening meals at Just Wok and Just Grill but also love the main restaurant. Breakfast was a real delight, everything from fresh fruits; yogurts; delicious pastries to a variety of hot food with a live cooking station for fresh omelettes and eggs all ways. The dive centre organises snorkelling; diving and fishing trips. It was also easy to snorkel off the deck of the water villas. The ocean is teeming with fish; manta and eagle rays, so perfect for all levels. If you are looking for a laid back 5* experience but with the ascent on good food and accommodation then Sangeli is a perfect choice.
