๐ฎ๐น All Things Italy โ Why Iโll Never Stop Exploring This Beautiful Country ๐ฎ๐นโจ
As many of you already know, I now live full-time in Italy with my husband Jonny, who works out here. One of the best things about my job is the flexibility it gives me, I can work from anywhere in the world, and thatโs allowed me to soak up as much of Italy as possible over the past few yearsโฆ and Iโm still not done!
Whether itโs a city Iโve visited five times or a new town Iโve just discovered, Italy never gets old, thereโs always something new to fall in love with.
๐ก Life in Faenza โ My Little Italian Base
Weโre based in the charming town of Faenza in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. Itโs not only a lovely place to live with cobbled streets, cute cafรฉs, and that classic Italian pace of life, itโs also brilliantly located for travel.
One of our favourite spots here is Casa Spadoni, with its restaurant and pool, itโs our go-to for chilled weekends. The food is always amazing and thereโs a real buzz in the evenings too.
From Faenza, I can hop on a train and easily get to so many major destinations, Bologna is just 30 minutes away, Florence and Venice are also within easy reach, and even the coast isnโt far. Itโs the perfect base for exploring all corners of the country.
โจ Real Experiences. First-Hand Knowledge. Tailor-Made Trips.
I specialise in Italian holidays and not just because I live here, but because Iโve been to the places I book. I know how long to spend in each spot, how to get around, the best areas to stay in, and those hidden gems you wonโt find on TripAdvisor.
Whether youโre planning a romantic break, a bucket-list adventure, or a big family holiday, Iโll help you piece it all together with a personal touch.
๐ฎ๐น Where Iโve Been in Italy (So Far!)
Hereโs a little taster of the places Iโve explored, from north to south, lakes to islands, cities to coastal towns:
โข Florence, Bologna, Siena & Perugia โ Ideal for art, food, and Tuscan charm
โข Rome โ A must-do city with so much to see
โข Milan โ Stylish city vibes with canal-side aperitivi
โข Venice (plus Murano & Burano) โ Magical no matter how many times you visit
โข La Spezia & Cinque Terre โ Train hopping between colourful cliffside villages
โข Lake Como, Lake Garda, Lake Ledro & Lake Idro โ Italyโs lake region is picture-perfect
โข Dolomites โ A snowy paradise in winter
โข Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, Ischia & the Amalfi Coast โ Coastal beauty, history, and amazing food
โข Sicily โ Full of culture, flavour and sunshine
โข San Marino โ A tiny country worth a visit!
โข Trieste โ Unique, elegant and full of character
โข Cesenatico & Rimini โ Where the locals go for a relaxed beach day
โข Verona & Pisa โ Beautiful for short breaks or stopovers
โข Imola โ A dream come true for any F1 fan (Iโve even had a behind-the-scenes tour at the Racing Bulls factory!)
And the best part? Iโve explored many of these by train, Italyโs rail network is affordable, reliable, and so easy to navigate. Itโs one of the best ways to see more of this beautiful country without the stress of driving.
