A Luxury Wellness Escape in Mallorca: Our Stay at Kimpton Aysla
Mallorca has long been a favourite Mediterranean getaway, but after spending a few days at Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, it‘s easy to see why visitors return time and time again. Combining contemporary luxury, exceptional dining and a genuine focus on wellness, this beautiful resort provided the perfect base for exploring the island.
Day One: Arriving in Mallorca
After flying from Marbella, we arrived in Mallorca and made our way to Kimpton Aysla, located around 20 minutes from Palma Airport. Tucked away in Santa Ponsa, the hotel feels peaceful and secluded while still being within easy reach of Palma and the surrounding areas.
We headed straight to lunch at Zayt, the hotel‘s Mediterranean restaurant, which was the perfect introduction to the trip. Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation and a relaxed atmosphere set the tone for what would become a recurring theme throughout our stay – exceptional food.
Following check-in and a quick refresh, we set off on a sunset boat cruise organised through the hotel. The experience was made even more special by our captain, Tony, who keeps the excursions intimate with a maximum of six to seven guests on board. Living in the Mallorcan countryside, he sources much of the food from his own farm or local producers, creating a wonderfully authentic experience. Watching the sunset over the coastline from the water was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the trip.
Back at the hotel, we enjoyed dinner on the terrace at Saba. The restaurant offers both Mediterranean and Asian-inspired menus, and on our first evening,g we opted for the Mediterranean selection. Once again, the food was outstanding.
Kimpton Aysla Mallorca: First Impressions
From the moment you walk through reception, Kimpton Aysla feels different. The hotel has created signature scents throughout various spaces, with notes of jasmine and orange welcoming guests on arrival. It's a small detail, but one that immediately creates a sense of calm and luxury.
The property itself is bright, modern and incredibly spacious. Large terraces, open communal areas and generous room sizes help create a relaxed atmosphere throughout the resort.

- Mini fridge with snacks and drinks available at an additional cost
Guests can also scan a QR code to request complimentary amenities delivered directly to their room. I even found myself making use of the tweezers!
Wellness at the Heart of the Resort
Wellness is undoubtedly one of Kimpton Aysla's biggest selling points.

- Permanent personal trainer on-site
- Around 30 complimentary wellness classes

The club is also home to the Mallorca Championships ATP Tournament, the prestigious grass-court event held ahead of Wimbledon each year.
Dining at Kimpton Aysla
Food was a standout throughout the entire trip.
Guests can choose between:
- Saba – offering both Asian and Mediterranean dining experiences
- Zayt – serving fresh Mediterranean dishes throughout the day
- Bar Cel – ideal for cocktails, drinks and lighter bites
Every meal we enjoyed was excellent, making dining one of the highlights of the stay.
Added Touches That Make a Difference
Kimpton Aysla includes several thoughtful extras that really elevate the guest experience. A complimentary shuttle service operates to both Santa Ponsa and Port Adriano. Guests simply send a WhatsApp message whenever they'd like to collect or drop off. There's also the daily Kimpton Social Hour between 5 pm and6 pmm, where guests can enjoy complimentary soft drinks, wine and beer. The hotel's partnership with local artists adds another layer of personality, helping it feel connected to the destination rather than simply being another luxury resort.
For groups, retreats and corporate events, there are also five meeting rooms available.
Our Final Full Day in Mallorca
For our last full day, we headed into Palma to wander through the city's charming streets and enjoy a leisurely tapas lunch. It was the perfect way to experience Mallorca's vibrant capital before returning to the hotel. Back at Kimpton Aysla, I enjoyed one of the spa treatments and chose a combination of a 30-minute massage and a 15-minute facial. Every aspect of the experience is personalised, from the oils and creams used to the skincare products selected based on your skin type and desired results. Afterwards, we sat down for tea while the therapist talked through everything in detail, which felt like a lovely finishing touch. All treatments use Codage products, and guests can customise how they divide their treatment time.
Later in the afternoon, we joined a cocktail-making masterclass to sample the hotel's new 2026 concept cocktail menu, created by Charlotte, the Food & Beverage Manager. The menu combines Asian and Mediterranean influences, drawing inspiration from flavours and traditions found across Japan, Korea and the Mediterranean. Featuring eight cocktails and four mocktails, it was a fun and unique experience that showcased the creativity behind Saba's beverage programme. That evening, we enjoyed dinner from Saba's Japanese menu, which was absolutely incredible. Every meal throughout the trip had exceeded expectations, and this was no exception.
