My Stay at New Hotel in Athens

My Stay at New Hotel in Athens

I recently spent a few nights at the New Hotel in Athens and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is right on the edge of the Plaka district and just a short walk from Syntagma Square, which made getting around the city straightforward. From Syntagma, there’s a direct metro to and from Athens Airport for just €9 each way, which is an easy and inexpensive way to get there.

The location is convenient for exploring the city. Just steps from the hotel, Plaka’s cobbled streets and squares have plenty of bars, cafés, and restaurants, and I enjoyed wandering through the area, looking in the boutiques, taking in the architecture, and soaking up the atmosphere.

The hotel has a quirky, bold design that makes it stand out. Every space feels a bit different, with playful furniture and interesting details. My room was bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, not huge, but it had everything I needed, and the design touches made it feel personal.

Although I didn’t go up to the rooftop myself, I’ve heard it offers good views of the city and the Acropolis. Breakfast had a solid selection of hot and cold options, plus an à la carte egg menu, which was a nice start to the day. The staff were friendly and happy to give tips on places to see and eat, which made getting around easier.

Overall, the New Hotel is a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Athens. With its location near Syntagma and Plaka and its distinctive design, it’s a hotel I’d happily stay at again.
