This contemporary three bedroom property is surrounded by lush jungle and accessed via a sleek underground entrance; embracing its surroundings with open walls and skylights. The open-sided and planned living space features a comfortable seating area with an L-shaped sofa, a breakfast bar and an al-fresco dining table. There are three en suite bedrooms – including the master, which is king size, a queen and a twin room, are all designed to further enhance their surroundings. Each have indoor/outdoor bathrooms and French sliding doors allowing you to enjoy all the splendours of the garden in air-conditioned comfort; the Master Suite has own small terrace overlooking the pool. Beyond the living space, there is study/TV room with a polished concrete desk that looks across to the cosy living space with a flat screen TV and comfortable corner sofa. The most unique feature of this house is the turfed roof garden topped with a viewing platform perfect for sundowners. Stretching the entire width of the living space is the fabulous twenty metre pool, enjoying south facing views over the Indian Ocean. A crisp lawn dotted with swaying palms surrounds the pool area, with a sheltered table and chairs providing an ideal spot to enjoy breakfast. Elsewhere within the villa’s grounds is a tranquil yoga platform, while stepping stones lead down to the privately accessed paradisiacal beach.

When it comes to on holiday dining, the chef at Woodapple House is fantastic, and chef service is included for all meals with just the ingredients left to pay for. Opt for typical Sri Lankan dishes such as rice and curry, and hoppers for breakfast, or international dishes if you prefer – a range of menu options will be available to you.
