The perfect luxury family holiday to Turkey

The perfect luxury family holiday to Turkey

After just returning from a week at the Lara Barut Collection, I can honestly say this is one of the best family-friendly luxury hotels I’ve stayed in, and I cannot wait to recommend and book this hotel for my clients, as they will not be disappointed. Located on the beautiful Lara Beach coastline and only 25 minutes from Antalya Airport, it’s the perfect combination of convenience, relaxation and five-star luxury. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations.

Whether you’re travelling as a couple, with young children, teenagers, grandparents or as a multi-generational family, there really is something for every age group. The atmosphere feels luxurious yet relaxed, with exceptional service throughout.

The food offering was outstanding and genuinely one of the highlights of the trip. The hotel has numerous à la carte restaurants, all included unlimited food, and they need to be booked in resort on the app. Alongside this, the buffet restaurant was exceptional, with a different theme every evening and an incredible variety of fresh, high-quality dishes. Every meal felt special.

There were also plenty of more casual dining options during the day. My personal favourite spot was definitely the patisserie, open daily from 11:30 am until 6 pm. Stopping for an Americano and a pistachio macaroon was part of my daily routine, and I am missing it now that I am home!

One of the things I loved most about the resort was the beautiful grounds. The hotel is extensive, with different pool areas spread throughout the property, meaning it never felt overcrowded. Everything was immaculate and so well maintained, with lush greenery and plenty of trees providing natural shade. As someone who prefers relaxing out of direct sun, I really appreciated how many shaded areas there were around the pools and gardens.

For families with children, the facilities are endless. The water park is fantastic, especially the giant cobra slide, which was always popular.

There are kids’ clubs, a gaming room, a cinema and endless activities running throughout the day, meaning children are constantly entertained while parents can still relax.

The beach area was another standout for me. The sunbeds were incredibly comfortable, there was waiter service directly to your lounger and even a dedicated adults-only section for those wanting a quieter atmosphere. The beach bar had such a lovely vibe — very stylish and relaxed with definite Ibiza-style energy, especially later in the afternoon.

I also loved the swim-up bar located next to the Turunc Restaurant. It was the perfect place to enjoy a more relaxed à la carte breakfast away from the main buffet if you fancied a slower start to the day.

The hotel app was very useful and showed the daily programme and pre-booking the à la carte restaurants up to three days in advance. We also used the guest relations WhatsApp service throughout our stay, which was excellent. Responses were immediate, and the team were incredibly helpful, even assisting us with restaurant reservations one evening.

In the evenings, the entertainment was superb. Shows in the amphitheatre were varied and professional, offering something different every night. But the real highlight was the Boho Festival held on the hotel grounds. It felt magical for both adults and children, with lasers, dancers, music and sparkly tepees creating such a special atmosphere.

The Lara Barut Collection really delivers luxury, quality and unforgettable experiences for all ages. It’s the kind of hotel you leave already planning to return to.

I will certainly be back
