Fantastic Stay at Bahia Del Duque

My husband and I have recently had a wonderful break at the fabulous Bahia Del Duque in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. This was my first visit and certainly won't be my last! From check-in to check-out everything was top class. We arrived by taxi to be welcomed by concierge who were readily waiting for us with smiley faces, kitted out in their traditional Canarian dress. They directed us to reception where we were welcomed with a glass of champagne and some nibbles. In our own time we were then taken to our very spacious sea view room on the 5th floor. Our room was gorgeous, very traditionally decorated with lovely views over the resort and out to sea. The grounds of Bahia de Duque are simply superb; lovely gardens surrounding all of the five swimming pools and you will find a choice of seven bars and eight restaurants as well as a great spa and tennis courts for the more active. The gardens take you directly onto the promenade/beach if you do feel like wandering away from the resort for an hour or two. There are a selection of boutiques in the hotel itself but for those who like shopping, you can take the daily shuttle from the hotel to the Plaza Del Duque. Breakfast is fantastic! The buffet in 'El Bernegal' served everything you could possibly imagine. We were just about to leave one morning when I spotted the chocolate fountain - marshmallows, melon and strawberries... delicious, washed down with a glass of Prosecco which you just help yourself to - what a start to the day! You also get nice extras like bottled water with your pool towels (and I must say they have the most comfortable sun loungers) and chocolates on your pillow at night with the turn down service (very comfy beds too). Overall this is a 'top class' hotel and I can certainly see why the Bahia del Duque is one of the Leading Hotels of The World!
