Capo Bay Hotel
Capo Bay Hotel
Capo Bay Hotel is a 4* superior hotel in a fantastic location right by the beautiful Fig Tree Beach in Protaras.
The transfer is approx.45 minutes by private taxi from Larnaca airport.
Pool area and hotel grounds
The hotel is in a great location, you can walk along the promenade in front of the hotel in either direction. Capo Bay has lovely spacious grounds, with plenty of areas to sit round the pool and a large garden area, with lovely views out to sea. There are plenty of sunbeds and lots of space between them, so you don‘t feel cramped. The Capo Bay has a large main swimming pool, which also has a jacuzzi and a small children‘s pool. There is also an adult-only pool and sunbathing area. You can pre-book cabanas around the main pool for 50 euros a day. With this, you also receive a fruit platter, bottle of water and 40 euros credit to be used in the restaurants up to 6 pm on the same day. Pool towels are provided by the hotel with cards given at check-in for you to exchange daily for clean towels.
Food at the hotel
The food in the hotel is of a very high standard. You have the option to go Bed and Breakfast, which is buffet style with lots of choice, Half Board or Full Board. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants if you prefer Bed and Breakfast, but I would highly recommend the food. Pre-booking the Half Board or Full Board package in the UK is cheaper. There is a choice of restaurants, and they rotate the opening days. With the meal package, you can pick a starter, main course and dessert. The portion sizes were good. If you're booked on Half Board, you can have your evening meal at lunchtime.
Entertainment and facilities
The Capo Bay offers low-key entertainment in the Bitter Lemons lobby bar, which was due to be on 3 times during the week we stayed. Due to the location, you can find livelier entertainment nearby in Protaras if you prefer. Bitter Lemons also showed live Sporting events. The hotel offers a good-sized gym and a lovely spa area with a small pool. I had a very relaxing massage while at the hotel. Other facilities include 2 paddle courts, onsite hairdressers and a shop. The hotel has a Children's club for ages 4-12 years and an outside play area.
Room Information
There are many different room types available including the interconnecting family rooms which we stayed in, 2 separate rooms with a doorway in between and 2 bathrooms. The room had plenty of wardrobe space, tea and coffee-making facilities plus a safe and mini fridge. I recommend booking the sea view rooms. The hotel has 2 blocks and the balconies in the second block are larger with various room options such as a duplex suite with a jacuzzi on the ground floor. The hotel does offer 3 disabled rooms which can be requested in advance. Capo Bay is a great hotel for both families and couples and caters for Weddings.
I recommend the hotel, the service, friendly staff and cleanliness were excellent, and I particularly loved the spacious grounds and the food at the hotel.
