Perched overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, Mangia’s Santa Teresa Resort is loaded up with things to keep you busy during your stay. It’s less than 10 minutes’ drive from pretty Santa Teresa Gallura, too, with its idyllic beach and its charming local feel. The hotel has snagged its own private stretch of the rocky shoreline, so expected an uninterrupted sea view, along with a host of water sports laid on by the team here that covers off the likes of windsurfing and kayaking.

There’s a petite strip of sand with loungers and parasols, too, so ample opportunity for seaside sun worshipping. Back up at the hotel, days revolve around the outdoor swimming pool – which is home to a daily line-up of activities. On top of that there’s a sports court where you can get stuck into a game of tennis, football, or volleyball.

Travelling with little ones? They’ll be really well taken care of here. A dedicated swim spot just for them, as well as a kids’ club and a teens club will make for hours of fun for them – and with any luck a bit of peace and quiet for you. Italian and international fare are both on the menu at the hotel’s pair of restaurants. Grab a plate and make the rounds at the buffet place, or treat yourself to the à la carte offering in the sophisticated surroundings of the bistro.

A poolside bar will keep the snacks and drinks coming during the day, but evening drinks are best enjoyed on the terrace that comes with a front row seat to the sea.
