🌴 Dominican Republic – Secrets Tides Punta Cana

The Dominican Republic wasn‘t a first for us, and it most certainly won‘t be our last!

In March 2026, we returned to this beautiful Caribbean destination, flying from London with British Airways in Premium Economy. The price difference wasn't huge, so we decided to treat ourselves to a little extra comfort. I'm always a fan of a good BA sale! ✈️

🏝️ Secrets Tides Punta Cana

We stayed at Secrets Tides Punta Cana, an adults-only, all-inclusive resort set along the beautiful Uvero Alto coastline. It's a lovely choice for couples looking for a little luxury, with stylish accommodation, tropical surroundings and a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere.

The hotel layout and landscaping were absolutely stunning, with lush tropical gardens, swaying palm trees and beautiful swimming pools creating a real sense of escape. There were plenty of lovely spots to unwind, whether enjoying the sunshine by the pool or soaking up the atmosphere around the resort.

It was even more magical in the evenings when the trees around the pool were illuminated, creating a gorgeous setting for an after-dinner stroll or a cocktail under the stars. ✨

The food was fantastic, the cocktails were delicious, and there was a great choice of restaurants and bars to enjoy throughout our stay. With its all-inclusive offering, lovely surroundings and opportunities to relax, it was the perfect combination of luxury and Caribbean indulgence. 🍹

🐢 A day out to Saona Island

We couldn't resist a little adventure, so we headed out to Saona Island, famous for its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters.

We were lucky enough to see giant starfish and turtles before enjoying a lovely beach barbecue. With the beautiful scenery and laid-back island atmosphere, it was a real highlight of our trip. 🌴☀️

💙 Would I go back?

Absolutely! The Dominican Republic offers the perfect mix of luxurious resorts, fabulous food, beautiful beaches and unforgettable excursions.

We had a wonderful time at Secrets Tides Punta Cana, and the magical gardens at night were something special. Add in our Saona Island adventure and the comfortable journey with British Airways, and it was another fantastic Caribbean holiday.

We've been before; we'll be back again, and I can't wait!
