This private hideaway oozes seclusion and has been recently refurbished to such a high-spec, you'll never want to leave. Surrounded by a natural pine forest, the villa sits perched on the hillside looking out to unobstructed views of Marathonisi Island (a completely uninhabited gem if you don't count the turtles)! There's easy access to beaches if you want them - Marathias Beach is just 0.5km away - but if you're looking for a getaway offering peace and quiet then Villa Selene couldn't be more perfect. The huge outdoor terrace is the show-stealer; this sunset-trap is full of fantastic facilities, whether its the seriously large pool, garden bar, indulgently spacious day beds or the multiple dining spots scattered throughout the house.

Through the large stone arches, an open-plan ground floor includes a dining area, office space and a large industrial-style kitchen. The sitting area is well-positioned in front of a large feature fireplace that can't help but catch the eye. Upstairs there are six well-sized bedrooms - one king-size, four doubles and a twin. The rooms are gorgeous - harmoniously decorated in neutral shades to reflect the serene outside views - and all but one open out to a surrounding balcony overlooking Laganas Bay. Nearby shops and restaurants can be found in Limni Kerri (only 1.5km from the villa) while the island's capital, Zakynthos, is just 18km away.
