Hello and welcome!

I’m Kate, and I’m delighted to be part of the award‑winning Designer Travel team as a Travel Expert. I live in Fleckney, Leicestershire with my travel‑mad husband and our two daughters, who have definitely inherited the family wanderlust. We’ve been fortunate enough to explore some incredible destinations together and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Before joining Designer Travel, I spent many years as a Primary School Teacher — and I made the most of every school holiday to see as much of the world as possible. As a family, we’ve visited many of the Greek Islands, the Caribbean, Florida, the Balearic Islands, Cyprus, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and New York (twice!). We recently spent a month travelling around Thailand, and another five weeks exploring Vietnam and Cambodia, giving us the chance to really immerse ourselves in the culture and discover some truly fascinating places.

Cruising is another passion of ours. We’ve sailed around the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Norwegian Fjords, enjoying unforgettable excursions and experiences along the way.
