Pleasurably private but not isolated, this is a modern house with a magical view, where comfort is not compromised by its smart, uncluttered design. Furnished in a natural colour palette, with brilliant blue and soft green highlights to echo the sea and the cypress-cloaked headland, Helidoni has a spacious sitting room with 42” satellite TV, open through an archway to the sleek, matt black, kitchen diner. Both open out to shaded terraces, stylishly furnished for lounging and dining, while enjoying bewitching panoramas of the channel and heat-hazed coastal hills. One of the bedrooms shares this level, with two more occupying the upper floor, each with en suite facilities, air conditioning, and sea views from the terrace or Juliet balcony. A terrace below the villa is filled with a generously sized infinity pool and pergola-shaded area, and there is a built-in barbecue for al fresco meals that could last for hours. For similarly leisurely lunches at the water’s edge, it’s a walkable 1km to Kerasia’s beach and taverna, St Stephano’s shops and eateries are 2km from the villa, and Kalami and Kassiopi are just a short drive away.
