Disney‘s Animal Kingdom Lodge allows visitors to experience some of Africa's greatest riches whilst enjoying the comforts of a deluxe Disney Resort.

The hotel overlooks a huge African savanna and guests can opt to take part in one of the resorts organised safaris, watch the handlers feed the flamingos and pelicans or even take a trip out at dusk to see the animals with the benefit of night vision.

It’s difficult to know where to start when describing this fantastic resort. There’s an amazing range of fun activities for the children including a supervised Children’s Activity Centre, animal programmes, stories round the camp fire and Disney films. The 43-acre wildlife reserve is home to over 30 exotic animal species including giraffes, zebras and gazelles – absolutely amazing!

The resort has an 11,000 sq ft pool with a fast and fun waterslide, a children’s wading pool and two whirlpool spas. There’s also the Samawati Springs Pool which has a waterslide and two whirlpool spas.

If you like to keep up your usual workout, there’s the Zahanati Massage and Fitness Centre where you can keep fit then enjoy a soothing massage or facial.

This resort is connected to other parts of the Disney Resort via the use of the Walt Disney World transportation system with coaches to the park leaving from outside the entrance.

The resort has approx. 1,300 rooms over five floors in one building. All accommodation has air-conditioning, a TV, mini-fridge, coffee making facilities, safe, iron, bathroom, hairdryer, Wi-Fi.

Rooms

There are a good variety of room types available including pool and savanna view rooms plus rooms with bunk beds.

Each room sleeps up to four adults plus one child up to the age of two who will be accommodated in a cot.

Club Level Rooms & Suites

Guests in these rooms and suites receive additional benefits including access to the Club Level lounge, complimentary health club access, access to Concierge service at the Kiliminjaro Club and more.

There are also Savanna View Rooms plus One and Two Bedroom Suites available.

There are a great range of dining options available at Animal Kingdom including Jiko, a fine-dining speciality restaurant that opens for dinner only, Boma which serves flavours of Africa and the Maji Pool Bar which is perfect for a quick bite.

There are also two lounges, regular dining events and in-room dining is available.
