" We stayed in two separate accom types, here is a brief summary ..

  • Seaside Junior Suite - next to lagoon. Lovely lead-in type. Very Comfortable.
  • Beachfront Pool Villa - with stunning sea views over the main beach area. Has it's own small pool which is handy. We woukd choose this for a honeymoon couple as it's more romantic and away from the main resort. Handy for the Beach Grill and main pool.
  • Easy access to the independant restaurants and massage facilities on the beach, which are a lot cheaper than in the resort and just as good.
  • We ate at '8 Fish' along the beach for authentic Thai food and a lot cheaper. This is a great way to give back to the community too, from a sustainability aspect.
  • Khao Lak night market is amazing, with its lovely street food, friendly and not pushy traders selling their wares. You will see find genuine Thai made products but also some 'authentic' designer products. Vote with your wallet, whether to support local economies or buy foreign imported knock off goods.
  • The Devasom Spa is amazing too, with fabulously skilled masseuse.
  • Devasom offer a cooking class with the chef which we thoroughly enjoyed! We made 3 fabulous dishes, got to keep the recipies and even awarded a certificate.
  • Colin had took a Muay Thai class in resort with a local champion and absolutely loved it!
  • Colin also Kayaked on the lagoon beside the resort, using equipment supplied by the resort.

Conclusion : Devasom is a perfect spot to relax and detox. Ideal for Honeymooners and adults really.
