Love is in the air?

The Venice Carnival opens this year in the middle of February and continues until Mardi Gras early in March. One of the most famous carnivals, Venice is ready yet again to greet its visitors with the traditional feast of music, theatre, dance and acrobatic performance. It's such a perfect time to visit as February is also the month for Valentines and the city just seems to be brimming with love!!   Lights sparkle along the canals and music pulsates from all quarters. Added to all the abiding charm of bridges, canals, islands, restaurants, bars and basilica, the city now puts on its costume finery and whispers amore and mystery from behind a mask.   Any time is the right time to visit Venice ..... but the Carnival certainly adds that something extra to make the heart beat that little faster.
