Kasbah Tamadot, Marrakech

What a magical place this really is!  Instantly upon arriving you are immersed into the beautiful tranquil surroundings and cant help but switch off the mobile and totally relax - I spent 3 nights in one of the luxurious Berber Tented Suites perched on the hillside with a private plunge pool - not your typical tented suite! It was elegant, sophisticated, spacious and I just loved the Moroccan slippers and straw hat that were placed on the beds upon arrival - you just cant help but put them on.

The grounds and the service are first class and the team at the Kasbah are the friendliest you could wish to meet.  The highlight for me was definitely the mule trek up the Atlas Mountains with Leon (the resident gardener) and his mules paprika and peanut - definitely not one to be missed (although I wasn't so sure on the way down!).

If you are looking for something a little less adventurous - Asounfou Spa offers a fantastic selection of treatments - you will most definitely be spoilt for choice.
