Disneyland Paris Christmas Experience

Disneyland Paris Christmas Experience

I have recently returned home from a 3 day work trip to Disneyland Paris and what a superb trip it was!

I was lucky enough to stay in the 5* Disneyland Hotel and it was amazing! It’s every little girls dream - even at 32 years old I was in my element! The attention to detail is amazing, every corner of the hotel & every room tells a story, the main lobby area of the hotel is a majestic library, which the story tellers are ready to share the hidden details with you. The little touches from being able to pick out your favourite Disney film or character in the carpets, the magical moment with the light up canopy above the bed, the Disney character detailing around the mirrors, it’s just magical! You might even bump into a character or two as you are passing through the hotel, or why not upgrade to the castle club & have access to the exclusive castle club lounge where you can have breakfast with the princesses! When staring at this hotel you truly are living the life of royalty, the ultimate 5* royal residence at the entrance to Disneyland Park. You’ll be just a few steps from the magical attractions, shows, parades and Disney Character Encounters. It doesn’t get any closer than this hotel! This hotel offers a fully immersive experience and unique benefits. It‘s the perfect choice for all ages.

As part of the trip we also had a site visit at the Disneys Art of Marvel - New York Hotel. This hotel is so cool, you are walking into a Manhattan style art gallery, with iconic pieces of art work around every corner. The detail in this hotel is again next level, they have thought of everything. The carpet design is a New York Street map, the lights are spiders man’s webs! There’s some incredible Marvel Hero Photo Stations to fulfill your destiny in an immersive photography experience! This hotel is a stones through away from the Disney Village & just 10 minutes walk down into the Disney parks! My favourite thing about this hotel has to be the New York sky line bar! You are transported to the skies as you sip on a cocktail and enjoy a view of the iconic Manhattan skyline & of course make sure you keep your eyes peeled for any friendly faces flying past! For all you marvel fans out there this hotel is perfect! They even have a Marvel design studio, where you and your little ones can unleash your inner artist and learn how to draw your own comic book… WOW!

The first night we got to view the Disney Electrical Sky Parade & Illuminations. This was for sure my favourite part! So mesmerising, it’s mind blowing how they pull this off. The Disney Electrical Sky Parade and Illuminations show will be ending in January 2025. Ready for a New show coming in January, The new ‘Tales of magic’ show, this will be even bigger and better than ever! I was completely blown away by the sky parade & illuminations so I can only imagine how insane the new show will be. It’s going to include lots more drones and projections, at the minute the projections are just on the castle but this is going to be down Main Street too, its certainly going to be an fully immersive experience!

The next thing to completely blow my socks off was one of the Disney shows! 100% you need to see a show whilst you are there! They are all around 30 minutes long and so good! We went to see Mickey & the Magician. There’s various Characters within the show such as Genie from Aladdin, when Mickey drops the lamp and Aladdin appears, Lumière from Beauty and the Beast and Rafiki from The Lion King. They don’t allow photos or videos in the show for the health and safety because of flash photography but I also like this for the reasons that you really don’t know what to expect. It was so mesmerising and at one point you just didn’t know where to look there was so much going including, animals from the lion king coming into the audience! A fantastic experience, I was completely transfixed the full time!

Our final afternoon was the Mickey‘s Dazzling Christmas Parade. No one quite brings the Christmas Magic like Disney, the parade was spectacular! No trip to Disney at Christmas would be complete without viewing the parade! We had the reserved area, which personally I do think is worth paying the extra for to get the best views! Price is approx €21 euros, this gives you access to being right in-front of the parade and also in-front of the stage where Mickey and the characters will come up to dance, so you really can get up close to them! There’s something so special about watching the parade ride down Main Street towards the Christmas tree, with the snow falling and the music playing! You can’t get anymore festive!

Before heading home we also had the opportunity to have breakfast with the princesses, at the Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant within the park. Located just behind Sleeping Beauty’s castle in the Disneyland Park, offers a breakfast full of treats straight from Cinderella’s kitchen, including French pastries, cereals, waffles, sausages, fruit juices and more. Breakfast with the Disney Princesses is a hugely popular experience, so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment! This would certainly be a priceless experience to share with your very own mini princess. I can honestly say nothing or no one can explain how magical it is, you need to experience it for yourself!

Everyday at Disneyland Paris is special but being able to experience it at Christmas time was next level! From hotels, shows, rides & attractions there is literally something for all ages and budgets. My top tips and recommendations for any clients heading to Disneyland Paris would be…

Download the Disney app, it is your best friend whilst you are there, it has everything on there from live maps, with ride queue times, Restaurants reservations, you can link your Disney tickets & room key card ( when staying in a onsite Disney hotel ) your Disney Photo pass, it has all the restaurant menus on there, you can book the premium access vip areas, it has the shows timings, your itinerary for the things you have booked or what’s on and what time that day.

Purchase the Disney Photo Pass - 100% worth adding on! It costs around £77. Once you have registered your card, any photos that are taken in the park, you just need to get your barcode scanned and the pictures will be uploaded to your account! This will save you so much money as the pictures to buy individually are around £20.
