Asimina Suites, a secret getaway strictly for adults only

Taking a break in Europe during the spring and summer is always a joy. We have visited a number of European destinations in an attempt to find that perfect getaway, offering seclusion, luxury and a real opportunity for some quality rest and relaxation. This year we revisited one of our favourite haunts - Cyprus and discovered a Mediterranean paradise perfect for a one or two week stay. The Asimina Suites are located about 2 kilometres from Paphos town centre. The walk into Paphos via the sea side path is a 20 minute stroll. Paphos airport is just 20 minutes away. The Asimina Suites offers real luxury without the pretentious atmosphere that you sometime discover in luxury hotels around the world. From the moment that you check-in in the comfortable surroundings of the check-in lounge, you feel you are a special guest and that the team at Asimina are there to ensure that you have an amazing holiday experience. Each of the Suites are spacious and well equipped, the views from the majority of the Suites are amazing. There are a limited number of Suites offering their own private pools - a perfect added extra for that extra special holiday, anniversary, wedding or honeymoon treat. There is a choice of dining options at Asimina. From the beach-side experience that is Kymata (a lovely relaxed dining experience offering an a' la carte option for lunch to the friendly Estia Restaurant which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, every dining experience we enjoyed was fantastic. The menu was inspiring and the local wines superb (the local wines certainly gave some of the international labels a run for their money). The Asimina grounds are exquisite. The pool area is spacious and a haven to relax in - you can read a book, hang out in one of the great hammocks or perhaps enjoy a game of tennis. This resort is a great option for those looking to get married overseas or for those looking for a European honeymoon destination. We loved Asimina and whilst we have adopted the sentiment that there are so many places to visit and so little time a return visit may well be in order within the next few years.
