Short Cooking and Wine Tasting Break in Tuscany

We have just come back from a fabulous week spent cooking in Tuscany at the La Mezzaluna that Heidi found for us. We started our holiday by flying to Pisa & Heidi booked us a Hotel that was right opposite the train station, so we were able to get the train into Florence for the day which was fab. We then went back to the airport where we were picked up by a private taxi to take us to La Mezzaluna. We were greeted by the fabulous host Rita from Scotland who was the best hostess. There were also 3 other guests staying all travelling by themselves but we all got along really well and had such a laugh. The food & the wine flowed day & night & Rita took us to some fabulous places, Barga, Luca, Pisa as well as learning to cook, Gnocci, pasta, pizza, risotto, biscotti, tiramisu in the afternoons. Rita was the best host, we started the day each morning with a lovely breakfast before heading off sightseeing, then coming back to cook, & sit down to eat our lovely food. We also had wine tasting at the table as we thought it was included but it isn’t on the 4 day experience, so Rita brought the wine to us I would highly recommend this type of holiday if you like cooking, & also recommend booking through Heidi as I wouldn’t have found this without her
