Rome, Florence and Sperlonga

Hi Roy! Well we have soooo much to thank you for! The best holiday ever!! Rome - seeing all those special places is a big tick off life's list!! The Vatican was just incredible! Domus Sessoriana was such a cool, interesting hotel. We loved it. A bit out of the way, we figured the metro out pretty quickly being so young and hip! Didn't realise til the last day it was only 20 min walk to the Colosseum! Ha! Florence - cool city! Amaaaaazing hotel (recommend to ANYONE). Great eating, so much Chianti. Oh and our day out - we ADORED San Gimignano. My personal fave day. Sperlonga - it was our little haven. We arrived off season so, unfortunately, lots of shops/restaurants and our hotel swimming pool was closed. But we loved the fact that whole place was entirely ours! The old town was very special and we ate the best meal of the whole holiday at a restaurant called Mudejar. We couldn't have asked for better weather, one stormy day in Sperlonga (made for a dramatic walk along the beach) but other than that it was glorious! Although someone should tell that to the Italians who were still in boots and quilted coats! I could continue to wax lyrical... And whenever I tell people about our trip, I make sure they know you're to thank! Roy - a thousand times, from the both of us THANK YOU! A & J
