Family holiday in South Beach, Miami

A little feedback from our trip to Miami - overall we had a great week. The Riviera Suites was a great location for the beach, shops and Ocean Drive. The staff were fairly helpful and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The roof top pool was very cool. However we probably wouldn't stay again, as the rooms were not very sound proof and, with the live music every evening, it was fairly noisy affair unless you stayed in the more expensive rooms in the quieter building over the road. The check in process was also very slow - especially after a 9 hour flight! - and my husband and I had a very small and noisy room for the first night, as it was the only one available which they rectified the following day, after giving us a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates as an apology It sounds a little complicated and unsatisfactory, but it really didn't take away from the great time we all spent in Miami. Many thanks again for all your help - spotted a lot of the hotels we looked at during our stay, but despite the above, glad we went with the Riviera!
