The Pestana Promenade Ocean & Spa Resort one of the more contemporary hotels in Madeira and is set in tropical gardens with fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean. Guests have direct access to the Promenade which is scattered with local restaurants and bars or you can take a short walk to the Lido where an even wider choice awaits. Alternatively take the bus from outside the hotel to the centre of Funchal with its cobbled streets and art displays and there are still more restaurants and bars to choose from! It's easy to see why many guests spend their time within the hotel using the indoor pool, spa and wellness centre or indeed enjoying one of the warmest outdoor pools that I have encountered anywhere. This eco-friendly hotel really does cater for everyone. Service, as we know, is hugely important to any stay away from home and the Promenade staff know how to make everyone feel at home.  This was particularly noticeable in the outdoor pool restaurant where nothing was too much trouble and food was always delivered with a smile and a few friendly words. Rooms are bright and airy all with a sea view, thoughtfully designed for your comfort. A perfect place to relax and re-charge the batteries, I will certainly visit again.
