Pestana Cidadela Cascais Located in the traditional fishing town of Cascais with stunning views, this five-star hotel so close to Lisbon exceeded all expectations. Sitting within the fortress walls and boasting its own art district, this unique hotel is a truly special place, successfully combining old with new, the fresh contemporary décor sits perfectly within this historic building. The service is everything you would expect from a five-star hotel and more; staff are attentive but unintrusive. The food was of a high standard - breakfast is offered buffet or à la carte service, starting early for those wanting to explore...just another example of the attention to detail by the hotel management. This hotel is perfectly placed for meandering round the many art galleries and museums, taking the 30-minute train ride into Lisbon along the Estoril coast or enjoying the views from the Marina. My stay here really has left me with some lovely memories. I have no reservations in recommending this Pestana Hotel to you.
