Masseria Coloniale
Introduction
Masseria Coloniale
Rising from gardens green with lawns, shrubs and climbers with open, far reaching views over the surrounding countryside, Masseria Coloniale is a beautiful pale stone villa, its loggia arches and fountain courtyard displaying all the grace of traditional Puglian architecture. Leafy pergolas and mosaic cobbles complement its timeless exterior, while vaulted ceilings and flagstone floors continue the cool elegance within the villa, where understated styling is a beautiful blend of contemporary furnishings in soft greys and creams, rustic chic pieces and more than a touch of romance. With a cooling system and WiFi throughout, the single storey villa has five uncluttered bedrooms, stylish bath/shower rooms, an airy sitting room with doors to two sides, and a charming and well-equipped dining kitchen. One bedroom is in the main house and two are located in each of the bedroom wings. Outdoors, a summer kitchen is complete with a gas barbecue and wood-burning pizza oven, and there is a covered dining area overlooking poolside lawns, a sunken trampoline and table tennis, and a gorgeous swimming pool, a full eighteen metres long.
Shops and a great bakery can be found within 5km in Carpignano, and inexpensive family friendly restaurants can also be found in Carpignano and in and around other local villages. Many local villages host atmospheric food festivals and concerts. Beautiful sandy beaches including Alimini and Torre dell'Orso with beach clubs are within easy driving distance and surfing, kite surfing, SUP, kayaking can be enjoyed. Day trips on yachts can be enjoyed from Otranto during the season. Cycling is also very popular and bicycles (with guides if required) can also be hired. Salento, this area of southern Puglia is a unspoilt pocket of southern Europe dotted with beautiful towns, villages and superb restaurants. Interesting half day trips include visiting the picturesque old town and beaches of Otranto and Gallipoli and the magnificent baroque town and upmarket shopping of Lecce
This important property is much appreciated by CV clients for the consistent standard of the bedrooms and shower rooms, the impressive and very private gardens and pool area. With two bedroom wings, it is particularly suited to two families.
