Mykonos is one of the most visited cosmopolitan islands of the Cyclades. Elia Beach has a long stretch of sand fringed by excellent eateries and from here you can take a water taxi to Paradise Beach which can be fairly quiet until the music and partying starts in the afternoon and goes on late into the night. There are plenty of excursions and sights to enjoy and we would highly recommend a boat trip to the pretty island of Delos. This once-sacred island was, according to mythology, the birthplace of the twin gods Apollo and Artemis. Other sights on Mykonos include the much-photographed church of Paraportiani, Armenistis Lighthouse and Alefantra or 'Little Venice' with its historic buildings and colourful balconies.
