You will love Lake Como

There is nothing like a summer holiday to the Italian lakes! One of my favourites is Lake Como. This particular lake is the deepest of the Italian lakes and has the longest shoreline, so theres lots to do in the area. In my opinion, it is one of the prettiest as it has such varied scenery, ranging from the rugged beauty of impressive mountain peaks to the lovely little lakeside towns and villages you can visit by boat or water taxi. Bellagio, on Lake Como, has been called the most beautiful town in Italy. It has a promenade planted with beautiful oleander and lime trees, lots of small boutique style hotels painted various pastel shades, cobbled alleyways and lots of interesting shops to wander round - And did I mention that you can also see the lakeside home of the famous George Clooney from your water taxi!
