India captivated me....it had been on my bucket list for many years and one reason or another, I‘d never managed to tick it off. When I was given the opportunity recently I jumped at the chance....excited to finally see and have my photo taken at the iconic Taj Mahal.

However, whilst the Taj Mahal is breathtaking, there‘s so much more to this fascinating country. I was lucky to travel to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur....there is always something fascinating to see around every corner.

The hustle and bustle of Old Delhi was an eye opener, the sights and sounds, the Pink City of Jaipur and the Red Fort were beautiful, and the colours and smells wandering around the streets of Udaipur were a real highlight for me. I also visited a local school which was both emotional and humbling. However on top of all these amazing sights is the people....respectful, gracious and truly lovely people.

To say I wasn't slightly anxious to experience the poverty would be lying, however, everyone seems so happy and I have returned feeling blessed and taken home so much in my short time the.... anyone considering India....do it!!
