Villa D'Arcy
With easy access to beaches on both sides of the island, and with views over the golf course to the Caribbean Sea, this is a well-placed and very adaptable villa, made all the more enjoyable with the housekeeper Marietta’s wonderful cooking. Set in landscaped gardens of typically tropical flowers and fruit trees, Villa D’Arcy is approached via a pathway through bamboo and coconut palms, which leads to the upper level of the house. Here an open-plan living area includes a very well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, and an attractive sitting room with polished wood floors, cooling fans and comfy chairs. Louvered doors run the full length of one wall and open on to the dining terrace, which faces west to the see the sea and the sunsets. On the lower ground floor, each of the air-conditioned bedrooms opens on to a little patio with access to the swimming pool and sun deck, one of the rooms furnished for double or twin bedded use. A twenty five minute drive from the capital, Castries, the villa is just five minutes from the beach, golf and tennis facilities.
